DINNER

Not sure what to have for DINNER? Why not have something healthy and wake up feeling energised.

Make sure your dinner includes vegetables, protein and low carbohydrate or small portion of carbohydrate.

Food containing protein are egg, chicken,turkey, pulses(beans, peas) I personally eat more poultry but you can get lean meat as well when shopping or take out the fat(the white stripe) before cooking. (this helps reduce the fat content). We need more protein and less fat. Be sure to have more pulses if you are vegetarian or vegan.
-Carbohydrates: potatoes, rice, pasta (plain), yam(small portion), couscous and more.
Try and go for green leafy vegetables such as spinach and you canals have tomatoes and cucumbers. If at all you don't have access to any fresh vegetables, get frozen or canned version.

My simple dinner for today

-Rice with steamed spinach and chicken stew or sauce.
 Side dish: cucumber and sweet cherry tomato.

  4. Ok. Sorry I haven't post the recipe yet. i'll just do it now since you requested for it.
    Rice
    -Rinse and put inside a pot
    -Pour over hot water and boil for about 5 minutes
    -leave to cook for another 20 minutes, checking it soft and contains water.
    -Sieve through the sieve and put back inside the pot (turn the heat off at this point)
    Spinach
    -put the spinach into a sauce pan and heat on a very low heat for about two minute.
    Stew/egg
    -Boil the egg for about 13 minutes in hot water or 20 minute using room temperature water.
    -In a sauce pan add chili or ground pepper, salt and any spices of your choice, add a bit of oil and water and then turn the heat on. Bring to boil and add tin tomato or tomato puree. Stir together and cook on medium heat. When the mixture become thicker add sliced onions and sliced tomato and about 1 tablespoon of palm oil (You can peel and add the boiled egg at this point)and leave to simmer on low heat. This should be done in abut 5 minutes after adding the palm oil
    serve
    -put rice on the place, spinach beside it and the stew sauce and egg.
